Jackson ran the 4x800 Meter Relay and the Open 800 Meter Run in Regionals. The competition for the 4x800 was very tough and the team finished 8th. Good enough for a podium finish and a medal, but not good enough to qualify for the State Meet.

In the 800, Jackson had a great race, lowered his PR by two seconds and qualified for State. His time of 1:56.34 further lowered his existing Bethel-Tate High School record for the 800.

The 2019 Outdoor Track Season

Jackson is running unattached in the 2019 Outdoor Track season. He hopes to post some competitive collegiate Freshman times in a few different events.

04/20/2019 - MSJ Invitational (Mt. St. Joseph University)

With the temperature in the mid-40s, spitting rain and a wet track, conditions were less than ideal. Still, Jackson won his heat and the 400 Meter over all.

Jackson's Freshman year at Bethel-Tate High School

Jackson ran the 1600 with some ankle pain. Because of that he ran in his running shoes instead of his racing flats. He was in enough pain that he wasn't able to sprint at the finish of this race. You'll see at the end of the video that his ankle got worse and he scratched the other events for the day.

Jackson ran the 1600 and the 800 in Districts and qualified for the Regional Meet in both. He also set a new PR (Personal Record) in both, trimming some 6 seconds off his 1600 best time. That time, 4:29.85 was also good enough to set a new Bethel-Tate High School record.

Middle School Track Records 7th Grade, 2013

• 1600 Meters - 5:09.1
   
• 800 Meters - 2:30:10 (not sure this is the best time, but it was a typical time for this season)
   
• 4 x 400 Meters - 4:20:43 (again, not sure this is the best time)
   

Jackson did not run 8th grade track due to injury.

Jackson ran the 400 Meter Dash at the Mount Saint Joseph University Invitational on Easter weekend. It was a cold, rainy day and the track was puddled and slick. On top of that, Jackson had been fighting off being sick all week and wasn't 100%. He had lane 7 and there was no one in lane 8, so he couldn't gauge how he was doing against the rest of the field. Still, he pulled off a win, besting second place by three-quarters of a second.

400 Meter Dash:  0:51.56

Jackson had a great day at the Norwood Invitational. He finished first in the three events he ran on a bad-weather day. It was 35-40 degrees all afternoon with winds averaging around 12 MPH.
 

Jackson ran the 1600 and the 800 in Regionals. He didn't have sufficient time to warm up for the 1600 and had a bad race. Since he was too far out of top four (state qualifying position), he backed off at the end to save his energy for the 800. The 800 went better and although he didn't qualify for state, he did set the Bethel-Tate High School record for the 800.
